Who runs this

SpellSmasher is an independent project by Tracy Howard (Dez). Site: spellsmasher.com. Email: [email protected].

This is not a Blizzard site. World of Warcraft is their game. We are not affiliated with them.

The builder (home page)

Sequences, your version pick (Midnight / Era / TBC / MoP), and tour progress live in your browser (local storage). They are not uploaded unless you choose to export, share a QR, or post a pack on Boards.

You can clear them anytime from this device (backup first if you care about the lists). We cannot see those lists from here.

Boards accounts

Signing up asks for a username, email, and password. WordPress stores the password as a hash, not as the password you typed.

When you post a pack we store the title, notes, import string, version / class / spec, and any photos you attach. Photos stay hidden until the owner approves them. The import string is left as you pasted it.

Replies store the text you type and your account name. Posts and replies are meant to be read by other players. Do not put real-life secrets in a pack post.

Questions board

Questions are plain text. If you are not signed in, WordPress may also keep the name and email you type so you can see your own pending reply. Do not put account passwords in a question.

QR / phone-to-PC copy

If you use Share / QR, the site can hold that export string for about two hours so your PC can open it. We also count how many handoffs come from an address, to slow spam. Use Copy instead if you do not want that short hold.

Donate / PayPal

Optional tips use PayPal. They see whatever PayPal needs to take the payment (name, email, payment details). We do not get your full card number. Their rules apply on their pages: PayPal privacy.

Cookies and logs

• Login cookie if you sign in to Boards (so you stay signed in).
• Comment cookies if WordPress offers “remember my name” on Questions.
• Host logs (typical web logs: time, page, browser, IP) so the site can stay up and we can see abuse.

This theme does not add an ad network or a third-party analytics tag. The host and WordPress may still write their own logs.

How long we keep it

• Builder lists — on your device, until you clear them.
• QR handoff — about two hours.
• Accounts, posts, replies, photos — until you ask us to remove them, or we remove spam / abuse.
• Email you send — as long as we need it to answer you.

Who else can see it

• Other players — public Boards posts, approved photos, and Questions.
• The web host — they run the server this site lives on.
• PayPal — only if you tip.
• We do not sell mailing lists or pack data.

Your choices

• Use the builder with no account.
• On your pack post (or your Boards account page), tap Delete my pack to take it off the board.
• Email us to delete an account, a photo, or a question.
• Stop using the site and clear this site’s cookies / local storage in your browser.

There is no self-serve “delete my account” button yet. Email [email protected] and say the username.

Children

SpellSmasher is for people who play World of Warcraft and can have a Battle.net account. It is not aimed at children under 13. Do not create a Boards account for a child.

Changes

If this page changes in a way that matters, the date in the footer updates. The live copy is always this page.
